Troop 303 put up 155 American flags up at the VA Hospital on North Avenue. The troop has Boy Scouts ranging from 5th grade all the way to seniors in high school.
The flags used were flags from veteran funerals. Typically families of veterans will donate the flags to VA hospitals and other patriotic organizations.
Flag Day was officially recognized by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916. It is placed on the day in which the Second Continental Congress chose the final design of the U.S. flag which was June 14th.
