A local Grand Junction man is getting ready for his third and final "Shopping for a Cure" fundraiser.

Mark Irvin will sit in a shopping cart, and won't get out until he raises $10,000 for Muscular Dystrophy.

Irvin says it's hardly a sacrifice, compared to what the children with the disease go through every day.

The fundraiser will begin on July 11th, at 7:00 am, at the Safeway on 29 and F Roads, Mark will get into his cart.

He won't get out until he reaches his goal.

On July 12th, he'll have his head shaved, by the highest bidding hair dresser in town!

For every $10 donation, donors will be entered into a raffle for gas cards and tickets to Rock Jam.

If you'd like to make a donation before the event, you can stop by the Safeway on 29 and F Roads, and ask for Mark.
