Appleton Elementary School is on the receiving end of some very giving Lions.
The Grand Junction Lions Club donated more than $3300 to the school for a security lock on the main gate. With funds normally dedicated to education, the new lock will be a great fit to keep the students safe.
The Lions Club will be granting more than $150 thousand this year to many organizations throughout the city.
