GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The essence of Downtown Grand Junction has been captured by local artists, who debuted their work tonight at City Hall.
The Parks and Rec Art Commission hosts four receptions a year and tonight the Art Quilt Association or AQuA took their talent of creating fiber art and made quilts with various interpretations of what main street means to them.
"We are just so excited about all the wonderful art, from the trash cans to The Avalon to abstract to such realistic art," said Jan Warren an artist in AQuA.
"It's absolutely critical for quality of life in the Grand Valley. We have an amazing group of artists and creatives in this valley and people need to take advantage of all of the events and shows," said Lorie Gregor of Parks & Rec.
AQuA is a guild and anyone is welcome to join. The club meets the third Saturday of every month at the Goodwill.
The exhibit is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at City Hall through September.
