Delta County Teacher Accused of Child Abuse Gets Probation
A teacher accused of child abuse in Delta County will not be able to teach in Colorado for two years.
Brian Havel was charged with child abuse after letting his students hit a tardy classmate as a form of discipline. Havel pleaded down to third degree misdemeanor harassment charges.
Delta County court fined him and ordered him to one year of unsupervised probation.
