A Grand Junction cemetery is cleaning up after a man who deputies say is legally blind drove over headstones and smashed a bench.
Memorial Gardens says 59–year–old Woodrow Bryant was trying to drop off a job application when he swerved off the road and into the cemetery.
Mesa County Deputies arrested him when he returned Wednesday to see if the cemetery got his application.
The deputy who arrested Bryant recognized him from a traffic stop earlier in the week. He says Bryant is legally blind and should not be driving.
Memorial Gardens says the damage will be pricey.
Bryant is currently out on bond.
Managers there say they did get his application. But they don't think he's what they're looking for.
