The Band that once backed country music legend Chris Ledoux stepped up to center stage for the opening day of Country Jam 2008.

Western Underground says they've been playing Country Jam for more years than they can count, but somewhere around 14.

The band says some of those years were behind Chris Ledoux, but now, they're moving up stage.

The band says since playing with Ledoux, they’ve taken with them his passion and love for music, and are now making new songs with the same enthusiasm for country music.

Ledoux's son, Ned, plays drums for the band.
