GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) This month, one investment firm is donating some of their office space to help gather food for the community.
Edward Jones Investments is collecting non-perishable items for its 2nd annual food drive here in the valley.
The company is hoping to build on the success of last year's drive. Along with non-perishable items, they're also collecting pet food.
The food drive comes at an important time, because hungry families are often overlooked outside of the holiday season.
"We’re just trying to do anything we can to raise some awareness to try to help out people during these times are less fortunate than us,” Jim Roland, financial adviser at Edward Jones Investing.
All the food collected will be donated to the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies, a non-profit organization that helps those in need.
Edward Jones cannot accept any monetary donations, but if you would rather make one instead of dropping off food, you can do that by giving your donation directly to the Food Bank of the Rockies.
