Colorado oil and gas regulators want to know how benzene ended up in the drinking water at a cabin near Parachute.

One person went to a hospital with throat problems after drinking the water.

The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has issued a notice of alleged violation to four energy companies after tests turned up benzene, an element found in oil and gas.
