Some local families will have a bit more to put on the table this Easter Sunday.
For the sixth year in a row, Hickman's Family Farms donated 240 cases of eggs to the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies.
To show their thanks and pay it forward, the food bank held an Easter egg hunt and petting zoo for some local children.
The significance of the donated eggs goes beyond just proving food for families.
Last year, food bank of the Rockies served more than 28 million meals to families in need across the state.
On the Western Slope, more than 3 million pounds of food were distributed.
