Update: I-70 Rollover Accident, Driver Becomes Aggressive
An accident closed east bound I–70 for a half hour late Wednesday night. The accident happened just east of Palisade near mile marker 46.
Ashleigh Mayes was heading west–bound when she hit a construction sign, lost control, and rolled into the east bound lanes.
When police arrived the driver became combative. She was then arrested and put in a patrol car where she proceeded to kick out both back seat windows.
According to police the car belongs to an energy company based in New Mexico. The driver did not have any identification so at this point police do not know who she is. Police believe she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
