A routine traffic stop leads to the arrest of two men, after Mesa County Sheriff's Deputies say they found drugs, and several forged documents on them.
One of the men was arrested on three charges of a sex offender registry violation.
Just before 8:00 last night, deputies pulled over a car near columbine park court after they say the car made jerky and erratic turns on the road.
According to an arrest affidavit, Juan Carlos Pacheco, who was driving the vehicle did not have an ID on him and lied to deputies about his identity. When they learned his real name, deputies discovered he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Deputies also found a fake green card and a fake Social Security card inside the wallet of the car's passenger, Javier Pacheco-Mejia.
Upon searching the car, authorities say they found several small bags of marijuana.
Both men were arrested and booked into the mesa county jail, and both have special holds that prevent them from posting bond.
