No charges will be filed against a man who had more than 100 guns seized from his Fruitvale home back in November.

District attorney Pete Hautzinger and sheriff Stan Hilkey sent a letter to William Martin's attorney this morning telling her they would not be filing charges.

The letter states that even though martin is a convicted felon, he was not fairly on notice of the criminal nature of his conduct when the weapons were removed from his home. Colorado law states that police cannot release the guns back to martin, but he can designate a person to pick them up.

Several of the guns seized were illegal, including one with e defaced serial number. These weapons will not be returned.
