The City of Grand Junction hosts a press conference to announce the opening of the Riverside Parkway on August 15th.
The parkway project is the largest capital improvement project in the city's history, valued at $110,000,000.
The parkway is seven miles long, connects three state highways, and crosses two major railways.
City officials say the new parkway will alleviate congestion and provide commuters with more options.
The parkway took four years and nine months to complete.
