The Secretary Of State's Office has officially taken the county off of it's elections watch list.

Montrose County was placed on the list following problems with elections two years ago, when long lines plagued some of the polling sites.

The Montrose County Clerk and Recorder says during a recent visit to Denver in June, she was told that the county would be removed. She says the inexperience of election officials is what caused the county to be put upon the list.
