A motorcyclist involved in an early Wednesday morning crash has died.

Sean Despain was killed after being hit by a car in the intersection of 32 and E Roads

11 News spoke with the driver of the PT Cruiser that collided with Despain. She says the 21-year-old motorcyclists sped through the intersection as she was trying to turn left with a yellow light.

A Garfield County Sheriff's Deputy who was on his way to work witnessed the accident and says he did run a red light.

Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident.
