Despite fears of too cool a spring and a labor dispute, the Olathe Sweet Corn Festival was as sweet as ever.

The festival kicked off Saturday morning with a parade through downtown Olathe, before gates were opened and the corn was served.

Festival Officials estimate 18,000 people enjoyed the roasted and boiled corn at this year's festivities.

Travis Tritt headlined the concert line-up.
