The first of four public meetings to discuss a possible school bond issue is tonight.
The meeting will be held in the cafeteria at Grand Junction High School. It starts at 6:30 pm. Community representatives will give a short presentation and then answer any questions people have.
The school bond issue could be anywhere from 96 to 180 million dollars and plans could include building one or two new high schools, a new elementary school, and replacing a middle school.
On August 6th, at 6:30 another meeting will be held at Mount Garfield Middle School cafeteria. On the 7th, at 7pm, another meeting will be at Fruita Monument High’s cafeteria. And on the 8th at 6:30, a meeting will be held at the Central High cafeteria.
