The owner of a Toyota Tacoma says he has no idea how his truck ended up on fire.
The blaze was spotted just after 11:00p.m. Monday night, one mile east of horizon drive off I–70 east bound lanes. According to police the blaze caught surrounding brush and grass on fire...but fire fighters were able to put it out within a few minutes.
Police believe at this point that someone drove the truck off the road and possibly ruptured a fuel line, causing it to catch fire. They were able to locate owner who is claiming that he left the truck at a bar on horizon drive and don't know how it got to the highway.
No one was found near or in the vehicle...and the truck was a total loss.
