Palisade Peaches Come to 11 News Today
Tuesday morning on 11 News Today we had David Cox, a Palisade peach farmer, in our studio for a live interview.
Along with bringing in enough juicy peaches for our morning crew to sample, he also brought along some helpful tips to picking out the perfect peach.
You know a peach is ripe and sweet when it is bright in color and soft. The way a peach turns out also has to do with the way that it is packed. Cox works for Palisade Produce which boxes up peaches directly from the tree instad of sending them through a processer. He says this also makes the peaches taste that much better.
The Palisade Peach Festival is August 14-17.
