MONTROSE, Colo. A Montana company is stationing a firefighting helicopter in western Colorado.
The Montrose Daily Press reported Friday that the Bell Long Ranger chopper will on standby at the Montrose Regional Airport for the next several weeks.
The helicopter is owned by Homestead Helicopters of Missoula, Montana. It helped fight the Alkali Fire near Craig last week.
