Power was knocked out to 738 homes and businesses in the Grand Junction area last night.

The outage first happened around 12:00a.m., and is being blamed on a bad under-ground cable. The city was dark south of I-70 to Patterson, 251/2 west to 21 road, and the north part of Mesa Mall was with out power.

All power restored by 2:00a.m.
