Outage Knocks out Power to 738 Homes and Businesses

Power was knocked out to 738 homes and businesses in the Grand Junction area last night.

The outage first happened around 12:00a.m., and is being blamed on a bad under-ground cable. The city was dark south of I-70 to Patterson, 251/2 west to 21 road, and the north part of Mesa Mall was with out power.

All power restored by 2:00a.m.

    I wonder if I can get the power company to reimburse me for the time that I missed from work because my alarm clock was reset.
