Mesa County Burn Ban
Burn season is about to get underway but local fire officials are warning that the burn permits won't be open to everyone.
There is still a fire ban in effect in for areas outside the city of Grand Junction.
That ban means no open burning is allowed.
If the ban is lifted, residents can obtain a permit to conduct open burning.
The season starts September 1st.
