Car Wash Out: Apartments In
A local car wash, considered an eyesore and a transient hang out by local business owners, is knocked down to make room for a new apartment complex.
Local business owners nearby the car wash on North Avenue at 28 1/4 Road said the abandoned site brought down the area and was cause for daily concern.
Grand Junction city officials say there are plans in the works to convert the 2.5 acre site to an apartment complex, which would hopefully help the local housing crisis.
The city is hoping to put in about 50 apartments.
