Prisoner Escapes from Mesa County Jail, Still on the Loose

Police are looking for a prisoner who escaped from the Mesa County Jail early Tuesday morning.

They are looking for 40 year old Shane Johnson from Clifton. He is being described as a white male, 6'03" tall, weighing about 210 pounds. He has blue eyes, short brown hair and a stocky build.

He is possibly traveling in a late model (1999) gold or silver Toyota sedan. Hewas last seen wearing a brown colored jumpsuit, and may be heading to Colorado Springs.

Johnson is considered dangerous and anyone with information is asked to notify the Mesa County Sheriff at 244-3500.
