A man who was shot by police has been sentenced to ten years in prison on assault and menacing charges.
Omar Infante-Ortiz was shot by a Grand Junction police officer last fall after he pointed a gun at the officer.
This morning in court he said it was dark and he couldn't see the officer. Judge Gurly said that the level of alcohol combined with a loaded gun was a recipe for disaster
