Local first responders in Grand Junction pay tribute to those who so bravely risked their lives that fateful day.
Officials with Grand Junction Fire and Police, local EMS crews, Fruita Police, Lower Valley Fire, and State Patrol gathered this morning at the Old County Courthouse.
Along with citizens, they hosted a memorial to thank those who ran in to help save innocent civilians in the horrific attacks.
The ceremony also paid tribute to the brave men and women who stepped up to help in all of the attacks, as well as on United flight 93.
