The line to hear Senator Barack Obama's speech stretched for nearly a mile.
Within the line it did not matter whether you were young, old, male, female, Independent, Democrat, or even Republican, thousands came out to hear the Presidential Candidate.
Volunteers went through the line signing up those last minute voters and picking up last minute volunteers. Some attendees came from as far as Vail and Montrose to hear the Senator.
Only a few of the speech goers complained about the line. Others said it was a way for them to meet new people that had similar views. Others passed the time by showing off homemade signs, singing songs, and saying chants.
The crowd also had a few Republicans interested in taking part of history. They said they were curious what Sen. Obama would say.
