Grabe Charged with 1st Degree Murder

A Grand Junction man accused of murdering his autistic 13-year-old son faced a judge today.

51-year-old Allen Lee Grabe was in handcuffs when the District Attorney's office formally charged him with first degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.
Grabe's public defender requested a preliminary hearing where prosecutors will have to prove there is enough evidence to continue the case.

A judge set that date for late November.

Jacob touched so many more lives than anyone probably realized. This is a sad tragedy, and little Jacob was the victim. His father needs to pay for his crime. He shot his innocent son as he slept. What kind of man could do this? Religous or not this man needs to pay for what he did for the rest of his son as he slept. I am sorry Jacob, and so are my kids. They are sad for you. God Bless You
