Grand Junction Police officers and Division of Youth Corrections officials spent nearly an hour looking for an escaped 15 year old male on Thursday afternoon.
Grand Junction Police say the male suspect escaped from a Regional Center in Grand Junction shortly before he was to be transported back to the DYC facility.
The young man, in hand cuffs, took off on foot and gave chase, eventually leading officers and officals to a home in the 1100 block of Rood Avenue.
The teen easily gave up after realizing Grand Junction K-9 police officer Oldo was hot on his trail.
The teen was taken back to DYC to serve out his sentence.
Another juvenile female was also arrested for harboring a fugitive.
Because the two are juveniles, their names are not being released.
