A New York Times article released today claims that tens of thousands of eligible voters have been removed from the rolls or blocked from registering to vote in at least six swing states, including Colorado. Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman says the report is flat out inaccurate.
According to a state report there have been just over 14,000 voters taken off the rolls since July, the New York Times article said the number was more than two and a half times that number. Here in Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Janice Rich says rest assured no voters have been purged from the rolls.
Rich says no one has been purged in two years she says people are only removed if they move or pass away.
