The Grand Junction Police Department says five people were shot in a pair of shootings Saturday morning. Two people are dead.

Officers say they received a call for "shots fired" just after 8:30 Saturday morning.

When police arrived in the 2600 block of Chestnut Drive they found four people who had been shot outside a home.

Police say two people are dead.

They say officers were able to locate the suspect in his vehicle less than an hour later near the intersection of 26 1/2 Road and Cottonwood. Officers on scene tell 11 News the suspect crashed into a fence in the area, then shot himself.

Police say they are no longing looking for a suspect.

Police are not releasing the names or conditions of the victims at this time, and have not said if the five people shot includes the suspect.

Paul -- innocent people were shot today -- and two have died -- don't you have anything better to do than critique an amateur video? Get a life -- and a conscience.
