GRAND JUNCTION Colo. (KKCO) --32 Road looked more like a river Tuesday afternoon after a main waterline broke. The road buckled and traffic was rerouted for a couple of hours.

Residents living in the area were without water for a couple hours, and one customer was without water through the night.

Customers between 32 and 34 roads experience low pressure or no water at all Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Clifton Water crews worked through the night to get the problem under control and expect the waterline to be repaired by Wednesday morning.

Officials at Clifton Water said customers may see sediment in their water.

"Customers might experience dirty or cloudy water just from the sediment getting scoured off of the inside of the pipe. It's a pretty large leak, and that increases the velocity inside the pipe," said Clifton Water Manager Dale Tooker.
