GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Power has been fully restored after an end dump knocks out a transmission line, killing electricity to roughly 3,400 customers.

The outage affected buildings on the south side of D Road, from about 27 to 33 roads, according to Grand Valley Power Public Relations Manager Bill Byers. People in Whitewater and Gateway were also left without electricity.

Byers says around 12:15 p.m., the trailer hit an overhead transmission line along 32 Road and cut the power. No one was injured in the incident.

Crews were called out to replace a conductor, and power was back up just before 2 p.m.
