With just days to go before Election Day, the Grand Junction Campaign For Change Office is working hard to keep the slight lead Barack Obama has in Colorado. Saturday, they got a boost from a TV star.

Actor Treat Williams, who starred in the hit series "Everwood" and has had many movie roles, spent his Saturday morning knocking on doors, canvassing for Obama in downtown Grand Junction.

Williams says Obama has the demeanor of a strong leader and a good understanding of the world. He says the democratic candidate's approach to the issues is thoughtful and they speak to the entire country, not just a select few.

With just days before the election, he says it's critical that he and other Obama supporters deliver his message.

"This is a time people can take for granted," said Williams. "Things seem to be going well, but I think this is a time where you can't let up. This is a great time for people to go knock on doors, talk to people one-on-one, just to get every vote we can for Barack Obama."

The Obama campaign is asking supporters to vote early. It says that way, supporters can avoid the long lines and make their vote count.
