A man was rushed to the hospital Monday evening after running off the road and being pinned under his truck.

Authorities say 48-year-old Mark Reese is recovering at St. Mary's Hospital with substantial, but non-life threatening injuries.

Just before 4:00 Monday evening, officials say Reese was driving his white Ford F-Series pickup eastbound on I-70 near Horizon Drive, when he switched into the left lane to pass several cars.

As he did that, he started to go off the road into the center median, and as he tried to get back on the road, officials say he over corrected, went flying off the right shoulder, and flipped his truck three times.

Crews rushed to the scene and were able to get him out from under his truck within minutes.

Officials say they will wait until they finish their investigation before they decide if Reese will get any kind of ticket.

At this point, they say it does not appear that excessive speeds or alcohol played a role in the crash.
