Man Who Broke Bat over Friends Head Sentenced
A 26-year-old who pleaded guilty to beating another man with a baseball bat will spend six years in prison.
Brian Paul was convicted of first degree assault and sentenced yesterday. According to an arrest affidavit. Paul spilled motor oil on his pants and when 21-year-old Timothy Stapleton made a joke that the oil looked like urine, Paul broke a wooden baseball bat over Stapleton's head.
Paul has two prior felonies and ten misdemeanors
