Engineers are looking at the 25 Road bridge over Interstate 70 after a CDOT truck with equipment hit and damaged it.
It happened just after Noon on Monday.
CDOT workers told 11 News they heard a loud scraping noise and saw some pieces of concrete fall.
The Colorado State Patrol says the backhoe they were hauling was too tall to pass underneath the overpass.
Troopers say 57–year–old Clyde Mcbride was driving the truck when the accident happened and they gave him ticket for the vehicle's height.
CDOT crews say there doesn't appear to be any major damage to the bridge.
The bridge has been hit in the same spot before.
