Grand Junction Police are aiming for a safe holiday season with a new give away.
They're handing out free gun locks through December for families who may be giving guns for Christmas or to anyone who may have bought a firearm recently.
Just head to the Police Substation at the Mesa Mall Monday through Saturday during business hours.
The Grand Junction Police Department has 2,000 gun locks to give away but is asking people to take no more than three per household.
