The Montrose Police Department tells 11 News that two 14 year olds are in custody for a stabbing incident at Montrose High School. A second teen was taken into custody last night on charges of conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
Montrose police issued a warrant last night at a residence in the 14700 block of Marine Drive to a 14 year old boy, who was a Montrose resident. The warrant was for charges of conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder, and complicity to commit 1st degree murder, along with accessory to 1st degree murder in conjunction with the Montrose High School stabbing incident on Tuesday.
The second suspect, whose name is not being released, is being held at Grand Mesa Youth Services in Grand Junction with no bond. This teen was a student at Montrose High School.
The initial suspect in the crime is currently in custody but authorities wouldn't say where or tell us his identity. We are still waiting for word from the District Attorney's Office on a formal filing of charges for that person.
