Falling Gas Prices Making Grand Valley Residents Happy

Remember when gas was four dollars a gallon? In the last three months, fuel prices have been slashed in half. Drivers glad to see gas at prices we haven't seen in years, especially the owner of American Maids, Clint Erickson. He has to fill his Chevy Suburban sport-utility vehicle each week, but instead of paying more than $150 to the pump, he paid a relatively low $60.
This is the fastest drop in gas since AAA started keeping records on prices more than fifty years ago. Even though gas continues to fall, down over a dollar from this time last year, AAA predicts the number of holiday travelers hitting the road will drop this year as well. However, more than 33.2 million Americans are expected to hit the highways this holiday.
