Workers from Garfield County protested in front of Grand Junction City Hall to raise support in their fight to get unpaid wages. Wednesday one company is trying to clear its name.

The workers were hired by a company called U.S Central Pipeline,
that company was under contract from Energy Transfer. Energy Transfer says they paid their part and more of the 12 million dollar contract to U.S. Central Pipeline for the work completed.

Meredith Hargrove, a spokesperson for Energy Transfer said, "We would hope that our contractors like U.S. Central Pipeline would not conduct business in this manner either and we have paid U.S. Central Pipeline in full and we just hope that they would do the right thing and now go pay their employees for work performed."

An attorney for the unpaid workers says they have a good chance at getting their back wages however she doesn't think it will happen in the next couple months.
