Some people in Cedaredge weren't able to meet up with loved ones who live out of town, and the owners of on local restaurant happen to be in the same gravy boat. For the seventh straight year, Connie's Family Restaurant on Grand Mesa Avenue hosted a huge Thanksgiving dinner free for anyone who stops in.

While the streets in Cedaredge, were mainly quiet and the weather quite rainy, the restaurant had a storm of their own, a cooking storm. Connie Freeman and her husband Tim have lived in Cedaredge for more than a decade, and their restaurant has been open for nearly as long, so seven years ago, they decided to give back to the town they love.

Last year, a hungry herd of a hundred came. They did cook 120 pounds of turkey this year, but if the great reviews from customers is any indication it may not have been enough.
