If you keep kosher get ready to fork over more money. Local kosher chefs say the cost of their meat has doubled.
They say one of only three kosher plants in the U.S. shut down its operations.
An example of sky high prices--one serving of kosher chicken breast for one person will now cost $20.
Kosher cooks say you can save money if you buy directly from the plants but you have to buy in bulk.
They say it won't get better anytime soon, they expect prices to jump again in the next few months.
