The Sheriff's Office says two recent arrests highlight a Child Porn Problem in Mesa County. Two men have been booked in jail on Child Exploitation Charges. One is accused of sending nude photos to a teen on his cell phone, the other is behind bars for abusing a teenager for years and having thousands of images of child pornography.

One of the men is a Mesa County Resident who was taken into custody last night at his house, he faces five felony charges including multiple counts of sexual assault on a child and sexual exploitation of a child.

The second suspect, 29 year old Nathan Hepker was wanted in Mesa County for sending sexually explicit text messages. Hepker allegedly sent nude photos to a boy in the 7th grade. Through phone records detectives in Mesa County and Cedar Rapids, Iowa tracked him down. He is currently in the Mesa County Jail.
