The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing that took place early Saturday morning.

Officials are releasing few details at this time, but say just after midnight, deputies were called out Cactus Canyon on reports of an attack.

When they arrived, they say they found one person who had been stabbed. They say the victim did not suffer any life threatening injuries. Because the case is still under investigation, officials could not go into any further detail on the incident.

No one has been arrested at this point, but officials say investigators are following up on several strong leads.
