Miriam Helmick suspected of murdering her husband Alan Helmick in June, has arrived in Mesa County Thursday after being extradited from Jacksonville, Florida where she was arrested earlier this week. The woman facing charges in the murder of her husband is scheduled to arrive in Grand Junction Thursday.
In early December, two investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office went to Florida and with the help of Florida law enforcement took her into custody. Miriam Helmick waived extradition.
This was Miriam Helmicks second husband that has died from a gun shot wound to the head. She is being held on a $2 Million dollar bond.
