A jury duty scam is making its rounds. The scammer will call you claiming to be a jury coordinator and ask you about jury duty. If you say you never received a summons they'll ask for your social security number and birthday so they can look it up for you and you've become a victim of identity theft.
Officials say that as a rule no one will ever ask for confidential information over the phone; the correspondence will be through mail.
