UPDATE: Lockdown Lifted for GJHS and Tope Elementary

Grand Junction High School was placed on lockdown for a little more than an hour Friday morning. Grand Junction Police say that the lockdown was ordered after two people were seen breaking into cars at St. Mary's Hospital and then seen heading toward Grand Junction High School. Police say there is no danger at the high school now, and they are searching for the suspects in another area.
Grand Junction High School has been placed on lockdown, as police look for two people in the area.

The school went into lockdown just before 10:00 Friday morning.

According to witnesses on scene, the two suspects were seen breaking into cars in the area near Mayfair.
